I’m a little late on sharing this as the party is this weekend, but I love how this engagement party invitation turned out. It’s simple and rustic and perfect for a fall party. I created it for a good friend, but now it is also available to you in our etsy shop! Happy Fall!

Architectural Digest Home Design Show
On friday I went to one of my favorite trade shows in NYC, the Architectural Digest Home Design Show.
“A world of design inspiration awaits at the 13th annual Architectural Digest Home Design Show. SHOP the latest furniture, accessories, lighting, art, kitchen, bath and building products for all your design projects. BE INSPIRED with seminars offered by leading talent from the world of design. CELEBRATE DESIGN at North America’s Premier Design Show for the luxury market.”
I wanted to share photos of some favorites from the show and hope you will be as inspired as I was!
My favorite featured event was Dining by Design featuring a “brilliant blast of cuisine, creativity, and spectacle with 40+ one-of-a-kind dining environments that awe and inspire.”
One of my favorites in Dining by Design was by Ralph Lauren. How beautiful is this!?
I also loved this display by students from FIT. It was inspired by the “true moral meaning of Pinocchio.” The story relates to the fight against AIDS and the struggles that must be overcome “when caught inside the belly of a whale.”
Check out the fishtail on the silverware!
And here are a few more from Dining By Design that were beautiful and inspired 🙂
The rest of the show featured the latest furniture, accessories, lighting, art, kitchen, bath and building products and left me eager to take on some new projects. Here are some things that I found particularly cool…
The “River Collection” by Greg Klassen:
I’ve been wanting herringbone wood floors forever. I think I first became intrigued while reading about Jennifer Aniston’s West Village penthouse. One day I will have them as well 🙂 Just maybe not in a PH…
Appliances in fun and trendy colors seem to be popping up everywhere. This is the second time this month that I’ve seen this purple oven in Pantone’s color of the year “Radiant Orchid”
What do you think about these crooked shelves? Cool design or bad fang shui!?
I do like this rustic wood panelled wall. This could be a pretty cool DIY project.
I also really loved these tables with glass tiled tops and drawers.
Another project for an old table makeover – how about adding a stained glass top?
This round mirror is unique and practical with a built on shelf:
And last but not least, I really liked this art display. I named it “string art” and think it would be a nice little project for a rainy day. What do you think?
